JobJitsu is built to know as little about you as possible. No account, no email, no password — and the content you share during practice is processed, not stored. This policy explains what data the JobJitsu app and the jobjitsu.app website handle and why.

1. What we don’t collect

  • No name, email address or phone number — there is no registration.
  • No stored recordings: your voice answers are transcribed and then discarded.
  • No stored résumé files: an uploaded résumé PDF is parsed in memory and never saved (section 5 covers the short background summary that is kept with the interview).
  • No advertising trackers and no sale of personal data.
  • Your content is not used to train AI models.

2. What we process

  • Device identity. A hardware-backed device attestation (Apple App Attest / Google Play Integrity) and an anonymous identifier tie your credit balance to your device — this is how JobJitsu works without accounts.
  • Interview inputs. Your chosen role, company name, spoken answers and optional résumé are sent to our servers and to the AI providers named in section 3 to run the interview and generate your report. The app shows you that list and asks for your agreement before your first interview; you can re-read it any time under Settings › How your data is used. Audio and résumé files are discarded after processing.
  • Interview results. Transcripts, reports and scores are kept so you can revisit them in your history.
  • Purchase data. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and reconciled through RevenueCat using an anonymous ID. We never see your payment details.
  • Basic diagnostics. Aggregate, non-identifying usage and crash data that keep the Service reliable.

3. AI processing — who receives your data

Interviews are delivered with the help of three AI providers. They act as our processors: they may use your content only to perform the task below, under agreements and published terms that prohibit training their models on it or retaining it after processing, and that bind them to confidentiality and security protections equivalent to our own.

  • Groq — receives the audio of your spoken answers and returns the text (speech recognition), and runs the live interviewer turns. For that it also receives the interview so far and the short summary of your background. The audio is not stored by us or by Groq once it has been transcribed.
  • OpenAI — receives the role and company you entered, the text of your résumé if you attached one, and the interview transcript. It prepares the interview plan (which includes a public web search about the company you named) and generates your feedback report.
  • Speechify — receives the interviewer’s question text and returns the spoken audio you hear. It does not receive your answers or your résumé.

Nothing is sent to any of them until you have seen this list in the app and agreed to it. If we add or change a provider, the app asks again.

4. Web research

If you name a target company, our system performs a brief public web search about that company to prepare your interview. This search contains the company name and role — not your personal information.

5. Data retention

  • Audio: discarded immediately after transcription.
  • Résumé: the PDF and its extracted text are discarded after parsing; the short background summary derived from it is kept with that interview and deleted with it.
  • Transcripts, reports and scores: kept while your device account is active so your history works.
  • Purchase records: kept as required for accounting and fraud prevention.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Practice without a résumé or company name — both are optional.
  • Delete every interview, transcript, report and résumé summary at any time from Settings › Delete my data in the app.
  • Deleting the app removes its local data; your purchase account persists so credits can be restored via the store.
  • Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete data associated with your device account. Contact us and we will honor applicable requests.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted, and device attestation prevents tampering with credit balances. No system is perfectly secure, but storing almost nothing is the best protection we can give you.

8. Children

JobJitsu is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly process data of children under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
